They’ve won not one, but TWO awards at Geneva’s Lift Conference – one of Europe’s leading technology and innovation events that explores the business and social implications of digital technologies.
Facing a packed audience and Jury panel of internationally acclaimed entrepreneurs, including the CEO’s of Ebuzzing and WISeKey and the Co-Founder of FREITAG, the team battled it out with seven other shortlisted start-ups in a bid to convince the panel of their international potential.
We think it might have been Thibaut’s demonstration using the team’s favorite alien that won it!
faceshift walked away with both the Jury and Audience Awards in the Lift start-up competition, entitling them to one day business coaching with Accenture and support from OSEC in researching markets and finding international partners.
Especially as they’ve admitted how intense it all was as the competition came only a day before the release of faceshift’s latest software – faceshift 1.1! The next generation of the company’s technology that uses OpenNI 2 support.
“We’ve worked on amazing lipsync, better eyetracking, and a bunch of user interface improvements. I think, that we’ve pushed faceshift to a new level,” the team said in a recent post. If you’d like to check it out and get involved then you can order a trial copy from their site here: http://www.faceshift.com/get-trial/
We’re also pleased to announce that Thibaut and the faceshift team will be joining us at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco later on this month, so if you want to ask them any questions then come along and check out their exciting new software developments yourselves!
